MASSACRE SIGNS WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS

Century Media Records is proud to announce a worldwide deal with Florida Death Metal icons MASSACRE. The band is resurrected with two of the original band members: band founders Rick Rozz (guitar) and Terry Butler (bass, also in Obituary). The line-up is completed with Ed Webb ((ex-Diabolic, also in Destined To Ruin and Generichrist) on vocals duties and Mike Mazzonetto (ex-Pain Principle) on drums. Everyone who saw the new line-up at recent local shows in Florida or on this year’s 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise knows that this is the ultimate line-up to continue the band’s legacy with a new album! The first 2 songs, called ‘Back From Beyond’ and ‘Succumb To Rapture’, are already recorded at CGM Studios in Florida and will be released as a 7” this August 2012 in time for MASSACRE live at Wacken Open Air in Germany (followed by more shows to be announced soon).

Rick Rozz: “I am overwhelmed, and overly flattered, for this great honor in this day & age, of being part of the Century Media Family. I remember touring with Robert Kampf and his band Despair back in the late 1980s, on tour with DEATH, when he was first starting CM...and now we are on the same team 25 years later. After so many years gone by it is great to be working with Terry again and our former DEATH manager Eric Greif, as well as getting to write and record with Ed Webb & Mike Mazzonetto. This whole thing came together on the fly, after 17 years in the waiting. Way cool...if you ask me, nothing but respect!”

CATTLE DECAPITATION ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, "MONOLITH OF INHUMANITY"

Three years have lapsed since society has been spewed upon by a CATTLE DECAPITATION album. In those three years the band has toured the globe, gained a legion of new fans with said album ( The Harvest Floor ) and have now written their most palatable, yet abrasive record yet. Even with song titles like Projectile Ovulation , Forced Gender Re-Assignment and Gristle Licker , CATTLE DECAPITATION have managed to forge yet another beautiful deathscape that will leave fans of 2009's The Harvest Floor breathless, spent and begging for mercy.

Monolith of Inhumanity is the band's fifth studio release on Metal Blade Records, in which once again sees CATTLE DECAPITATION exploring additional techniques in song writing and musical progressions. Not straying away from the frenzied guitar playing, machine gun intensity drumming, bowel movement inducing vocals, and of course self loathing lyrical content, Monolith of Inhumanity will mark the band's most accomplished record to date. Recruiting some fresh meat in the way of Dave Otero to handle all of the studio duties, the band has accomplished what they have longed to do for an album. Adding Otero to the mix gave CATTLE DECAPITATION the missing component. Artwork is once again being handled by Wes Benscoter. The culmination of Benscoter's unearthly abilities fused with Travis Ryan's demented view have once again proven to be memorable and fitting for what the music holds in store for the listener.

CATTLE have also collaborated with famed pop culture artist Tom Bunk for a very special art project that will be available from the band's webstore < http://www.indiemerchstore.com/b/cattle-decapitation/ > . Tom is best known for his work for the 1980's Garbage Pail Kids trading cards, his work with MAD Magazine, and has created an incredible GPK inspired CATTLE DECAPITATION trading card set that must be seen to be believed. Needless to say, the collaboration between the two camps is like Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacey being pen pals.

GRAND MAGUS SIGN WITH NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

Nuclear Blast proudly announces the signing of Swedish Heavy Metal combo GRAND MAGUS.

PARADISE LOST POST MAKING OF "HONESTY IN DEATH" VIDEO AND ANNOUNCE MORE EUROPEAN SUPPORT BANDS

The worldwide live premier from one of the new “Tragic Idol” album songs, “Honesty In Death”, took place a few weeks ago at the Finnish Metal Expo in Helsinki and it looks like PARADISE LOST really fell in love with one of the most metal countries in Europe. They already announced earlier this year that they would take their Finnish label mates INSOMNIUM on tour for the UK dates. And now we can confirm the next band from the land of saunas and Salmiakki, SWALLOW THE SUN, who will be direct support for the European mainland dates. SWALLOW THE SUN just released their new dark epic “Emerald Forest And The Blackbird” this February and comment on the tour: "For years we have thought that us and Paradise Lost would be a perfect line-up for a tour, and now it's coming to reality: we're happy and proud to join them on their European tour as their direct support! It's been a while since our last tour back in 2010, and we're excited to be back - see you on the road!!!" More support bands will be announced soon.

WOSLOM PACKING FOR EUROPEAN TOUR

Brazilians thrashers Woslom are working on the last details of their first European tour supporting their debut album “Time to Rise”. The band is already confirmed in the Portuguese festival “SWR Barroselas Metalfest XV”, which will take place from the 26th to the 30th April, 2012. There will be around 30 concerts in 8 countries, where the band promises to unleash the fury of their Thrash Metal to the European crowd.

Legendary Swedish viking/death masters UNLEASHED just announced the tracklist and the artwork of the upcoming album “Odalheim”.

With “Odalheim” UNLEASHED not only present the successor of “As Yggdrasil Trembles” in the year 2012, but also continue telling their post-doomsday story, of course embedded into the Norse mythology. After the mighty world tree Yggdrasil had trembled and rung in the end of the world, Fimbul winter followed: Three years of darkness and coldness, during which Mother Nature took back what was rightfully hers. This caused the end of life as we know it. Ragnarök. But the warriors who’ve survived will build a new world out of the old one’s ashes. Right here, the story of “Odalheim” begins.

Within days of announcing the departure of Matt DeVries, SIX FEET UNDER has locked in the latest addition to the bands already heavy and extremely talented lineup. Seven-string bassist Jeff Hughell , formally of the Santa Cruz California technical death metal band Brain Drill and Concord California death metal band Vile, will be joining the ranks as the new SIX FEET UNDER bassist.

Vocalist Chris Barnes comments; "Six Feet Under is proud to announce our new member, bass player Jeff Hughell. He's an amazing musician and I have been a fan of his work since first hearing Brain Drill a few years back. We feel with the addition of Jeff, all the puzzle pieces are in place and the killing machine known as Six Feet Under is now a true death metal force to be reckoned with!
